Notable Media Criteria

A Notable Media Source must have one of the following attributes:

• Be a media organization or an employee of one
• Have 50k followers on a social media platform
• Break a major news story subsequently covered by 5 or more media outlets

This criteria is designed to protect against Media Watch pages from being used to target or harass small time commentators, no matter how terrible their comments might be. Notable Media Sources put their foot into the public arena and are fair game for tracking, analysis, and criticism
